This time is the absolute physical limit of the game released in 1985 for the Any% category, which allows shortcuts. So far, no human has achieved this time, only computers through Tool-Assisted Speedrun (TAS). The closest human record was set in June 2026 by LeKukie, with a time of 4:54.365, just 0.1 seconds away from theoretical perfection. The reward of 0.21 BTC symbolizes the limit of 21 million BTC that will exist. Wallet of Satoshi has enabled a public address for the community to add funds to the prize. The accumulated amount will be awarded to whoever validates the time under the rules of speedrun.com.
