W Group Invests in SwapGlobal for Pre-IPO Derivatives

By: www.newsbtc.com|10/25/2026 03:00:00

W Group, associated with crypto exchange WhiteBIT, has invested in derivatives provider SwapGlobal. The announcement on October 23 did not disclose the deal value and indicated that SwapGlobal is preparing its first pre-IPO transactions. SwapGlobal aims to offer institutional pre-IPO derivatives backed by W Group, providing contractual payoffs without granting ownership of shares. WhiteBIT also identifies Marcel Boekhoorn and Kenzoll Capital as investors. The funding will support trading and working capital for expansion into foreign equities, computing power, and digital assets. SwapGlobal plans to hedge institutional client positions and utilize qualified custodians for collateral, targeting hedge funds and asset managers. The arrangement allows clients to gain exposure to a company's value without being listed as shareholders, meaning they won't have voting rights or direct ownership. The contractual terms are crucial, especially if a private company remains unlisted longer than anticipated. SwapGlobal's model includes over-the-counter offerings such as swaps and options, accessible through an interface or API, limited to Eligible Contract Participants under U.S. regulations. The investment signifies W Group's interest in institutional access to private assets, with future transactions expected to clarify the operational model.
