Specter Questions Serpin's Token Issuance Decision, Claims Low Liquidity Damages Reputation
On-chain detective Specter published a post questioning Serpin's handling of the token generation event (TGE), believing it could affect the project's reputation. Specter pointed out that Serpin had previously stated it would not issue tokens, but ultimately launched a token for a project that did not require one and participated in an ICO fundraising, with team activity declining after the TGE. Specter also mentioned that when Serpin launched the token, liquidity was low, only choosing to trade on Coinbase, which limited user trading channels. Furthermore, Specter questioned why Serpin only refunded 15% of the funds and required participants to go through a lengthy process to reclaim the remaining 85%, believing the outcome stemmed from team decision-making errors rather than a successful TGE. Serpin originally planned to launch in September, but the current situation arose after a delay.
