Dune Launches Real-Time Spot And Perpetual Trade Feeds
Dune has launched normalized real-time feeds for spot and perpetual DEX trades to assist institutional desks in comparing fragmented blockchain-market execution. The Market Data Feeds cover over 200 trading venues, delivering reports approximately one second after a transaction block is confirmed. The product normalizes details such as instrument, venue, execution side, price, and U.S. dollar value, allowing subscribers to compare trades across different protocols and blockchains. Dune emphasizes that its feeds provide valuable insights for market makers, enabling them to assess trade competitiveness and spread movements. The feeds also facilitate transaction-cost analysis, helping institutional users evaluate routing and risk. However, the product does not capture all economic activity, as public on-chain data can be complex and may exclude certain transactions. Dune acknowledges the challenges of data coverage and consistency in fast-moving markets, noting that the usefulness of the feed will depend on its handling of late records and liquidity issues.
