Perceptron Migrates 800,000 Nodes to Walrus for AI Data Verification
Perceptron has moved its network of over 800,000 nodes to Walrus to make the integrity of AI data verifiable by clients. The migration, announced on October 22, 2026, makes Walrus the primary storage layer, replacing the previous centralized storage. Walrus will manage the storage, verification, and distribution of Perceptron's datasets, aiming to reduce egress fees and the opaque pricing typical of cloud providers. Walrus utilizes a cryptographic proof of data integrity and principles of immutability. Each dataset will have a verifiable identifier, essential for real-time market signals and training data. The main beneficiaries include hedge funds, quantitative researchers, and AI companies, responding to the growing demand for traceable and compliant datasets.
