Anthropic Launches Research Preview of Claude Duet
Anthropic has launched the research preview of its proactive intelligent assistant, Claude Duet, which is now open for waitlist applications. Powered by Opus 5.5, Claude Duet supports standalone applications for iOS and Android, and can be accessed via the claude.ai website on computers. The assistant operates on cloud-based independent computers, capable of invoking user-connected applications, delivering daily morning briefings, and continuing to process tasks while the user is away. It will seek user consent before performing sensitive operations such as sending messages or making payments. The research preview phase is only available to Claude Pro and Max users in the United States, with team and enterprise versions not included. Felix Rieseberg, the engineering lead at Anthropic, announced the opening of the waitlist in a post on the X platform.
