Ghanem Saudi Arabia Raises an Additional $1.5 Million, Bringing Total Funding to $8.6 Million
- The Saudi real estate technology company Ghanem has raised an additional $1.5 million in an extension of its Pre-Seed round, with participation from real estate firms and strategic angel investors, bringing the total round to $8.6 million. The company had previously raised $7.1 million with the participation of Al-Rumaih Group, and Waad VC also invested in it.
- Founded in 2025 by Saleh Waheed Al-Ghamdi and Amr Essam, Ghanem operates a platform for fractional ownership of real estate, allowing individuals and institutions to invest in income-generating properties in Saudi Arabia, with amounts starting from 1,000 SAR depending on the investment opportunity.
- Ghanem will use the additional funding to develop its products, diversify real estate investment opportunities, and build strategic partnerships to support the expansion of fractional ownership services in the Saudi market.
Press Release:
Ghanem, a company specializing in fractional real estate ownership in Saudi Arabia, announced the closure of an additional funding round of $1.5 million, with participation from real estate companies and a group of strategic angel investors.
This funding comes as an extension of the company’s Pre-Seed round, which previously amounted to $7.1 million with the participation of Al-Rumaih Group, raising the total funding in this round, including its extension, to $8.6 million. Waad VC also invested in the company.
This step follows Ghanem achieving a series of operational milestones, including executing several real estate opportunities through the company, reaching a registered user base of thousands, and distributing rental revenues to investors without any delays.
Ghanem successfully issued digital fractional ownership certificates to 580 individuals in its first income-generating real estate opportunity offered through the Ghanem app, documenting their ownership of shares in the property offered.
Ghanem also signed a digital linkage agreement with the Real Estate Registry (RER) and activated this linkage to become operational, allowing for the documentation of fractional ownerships and issuing certificates in the names of investors within a comprehensive digital experience. This step is part of developing the technical and operational infrastructure of the platform and simplifying the real estate ownership journey.
The company had joined several months ago the regulatory sandbox of the General Authority for Real Estate and launched the fractional ownership product within this environment, allowing for testing and developing the model under regulatory supervision.
Ghanem enables real estate investment in Saudi Arabia through fractional ownership of income-generating properties with amounts starting from 1,000 SAR, depending on the opportunity. This model combines the opportunity to achieve rental income with owning a share in a tangible real estate asset, which may support long-term investment stability. Properties undergo verification, examination, and evaluation procedures before being offered on the platform, including reviewing ownership and related documents and evaluating the property by certified appraisers.
It is worth noting that all of Ghanem's products are Sharia-compliant as approved by the Sharia committee.
Saleh Al-Ghamdi, CEO and co-founder of Ghanem, stated: "We are working to facilitate access to real estate ownership through a clear digital experience and documented ownership in the name of the investor. During the past phase, we executed real estate opportunities, attracted thousands of registered users, distributed rental income to them monthly without any delays, and activated the digital linkage with the Real Estate Registry. These achievements provide us with a practical foundation to build upon to develop our services and enhance the investor experience."
Al-Ghamdi added: "The extension of the Pre-Seed round represents an important support for the next phase of our journey. We value the trust of investors and the joining of real estate companies and strategic partners with direct experience in the market. We look forward to leveraging this expertise to develop the product, diversify real estate opportunities, and build partnerships that support the growth of Ghanem's fractional ownership, while continuing to develop our solutions within the regulatory sandbox of the General Authority for Real Estate."
Ghanem was founded in 2025 by Saleh Waheed Al-Ghamdi and Amr Essam to develop fractional real estate ownership solutions and serve individuals and institutions in the Saudi market.
