Ledger Atom Features Physical Privacy Switch to Cut Power to Camera and Microphone
Ledger has announced the physical privacy switch feature of its new device, Ledger Atom. Flipping this switch can cut the power supply to the camera and microphone at the circuit level, preventing any applications, malware, or remote attackers from turning them back on. The Secure Bar on the device indicates the switch's position. In secure mode, the camera and microphone remain powered off regardless of the switch's position. Additionally, Ledger has opened pre-orders for the founding edition of Ledger Atom.
