Ethereum Staking Reaches 43.8 Million ETH, Annualized Yield Drops to 2.63% in Q3
Ethereum staking has reached 43.8 million ETH, accounting for 35.9% of the total supply, marking a historical high. In the third quarter, net staking inflow was 1.99 million ETH, maintaining net inflow for six consecutive quarters. The average annualized staking yield for Ethereum in Q3 decreased from 2.81% to 2.63%, with 96.3% coming from ETH issuance. Solana's active staking volume increased to 440.5 million SOL, with the gross staking yield dropping from 6.38% to about 6%. Staking ETFs and digital asset treasury are broadening participation channels, and custodians supporting staking allow institutions to participate through existing custody relationships. Liquidity remains a constraint for institutions, as funds typically need to meet redemptions within one or two days, while ETH unstaking may take several weeks. It is estimated that the average staking ratio for related products in Europe is only 50% to 60%.
