Justin Drake Proposes Ethereum's Transition to Quantum Resistance and Post-AI by End of 2028
Ethereum Foundation researcher Justin Drake stated at the Devcon 8 conference in Mumbai that he hopes to complete a full transition to post-quantum and post-AI by December 2028. He pointed out that developers need to complete three additional network upgrades within the next 24 months. The roadmap released by the Ethereum Foundation in September of this year set December 2029 as the target deadline for achieving quantum resistance capabilities. Drake's proposed timeline is a year ahead of the existing roadmap, but it has not yet officially replaced the current roadmap, which is scheduled for reassessment in January 2027.
