In the first half of 2026, the Ethereum network recorded 91 hacking attacks, resulting in approximately $519.54 million stolen. This is the highest figure both in terms of the number of incidents and the value of losses compared to other analyzed networks. The Ethereum ecosystem includes many assets, including stablecoins and DeFi tokens, meaning that attacks can lead to the loss of various cryptocurrencies, even if the blockchain itself has not been directly compromised. The second place is held by BNB Smart Chain with 50 incidents, while Solana and Bitcoin recorded 8 and 7 attacks, respectively. A report by TRM Labs indicates 207 attacks during this period, with total losses amounting to $972 million. The statistics concern criminal activity in networks, not rankings of the most frequently stolen tokens, which means that Ethereum is the leader in the number of attacks, but ETH is not necessarily the most stolen cryptocurrency.
