WEEX x Venom X Space Recap: The Institutional Layer-0 Powering the Future of Global Finance
On November 5, 2025, WEEX Exchange hosted an in-depth AMA live session with Venom, a next-generation blockchain infrastructure project designed for institutional-grade adoption. The discussion featured Louis, CEO of Venom Foundation, the core team behind Venom, who shared insights on how the project’s Layer-0 and Layer-1 dual-architecture is redefining the future of global finance by bridging scalability, interoperability, and compliance.
Key Insights from the WEEX x Venom AMA: Building the Institutional Blockchain of the Future
Louis introduced Venom as a mission-driven project to simplify and modernize the global financial system through a high-performance blockchain foundation. The architecture separates coordination (Layer-0) from transaction processing (Layer-1), enabling scalability across ecosystems and even across sovereign financial systems. Venom’s Layer-0 acts as a master chain, managing governance, validator elections, and security configurations, while Layer-1 work chains handle transactions. This separation allows the network to scale dynamically and achieve true interoperability — not just between blockchains, but between nations, institutions, and real-world economies.
Through dynamic sharding, Venom can automatically balance validator loads, splitting or merging shards based on demand. Unlike static networks such as Polkadot or Cosmos, Venom’s adaptive structure delivers stable throughput and high TPS, reinforced by a PBFT-based finality layer for faster and more secure confirmation. From inception, Venom embedded account abstraction into its protocol — allowing smart contracts to overlay existing financial regulations. This makes it ideal for regulated entities, central banks, and financial institutions, enabling them to issue and manage digital assets (CBDCs, tokenized securities, and stablecoins) while remaining fully compliant.
Louis emphasized Venom’s vision as the “payment rails of the Web3 world” — providing the underlying infrastructure for tokenized assets, CBDCs, and global settlement systems. Rather than competing with issuers, Venom aims to be the invisible backbone that carries compliant value exchange across borders. Looking ahead, Venom plans to expand its footprint in Southeast Asia and Korea, regions poised for the next wave of fintech and blockchain adoption. The foundation supports developers through grant programs, technical consulting, and institutional partnerships to foster a thriving ecosystem.
The Significance of the WEEX x Venom AMA: Enabling a Compliant, Scalable, and Connected Financial Future
The session underscored Venom’s role as a pioneer of institutional blockchain infrastructure—bridging traditional finance with Web3 through scalable design and regulatory foresight. For WEEX, this collaboration highlights our commitment to supporting high-utility blockchain projects that push beyond speculation, unlocking real-world applications in global payments, digital assets, and sovereign-level innovation.
