XRP Opens X Account After 10 Years, Gains 47,000 Followers on First Post
Ripple's digital asset XRP has opened a dedicated account on social media platform X, marking its first account in 10 years since its launch. The first post, consisting of the two words 'hello, world', garnered 47,000 followers within just a few hours. This reflects the high interest from the XRP community and is interpreted as Ripple's effort to strengthen XRP's brand presence while expanding collaborations with Wall Street financial institutions. XRP, which emerged in 2012, has been recognized for its potential in global remittances and payments. The opening of this account is noteworthy as XRP had not operated an official X account despite its long history. Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse and major corporate accounts sent congratulatory messages, and influential analysts within the XRP community also expressed their support. However, the price of XRP has recently struggled to break the $1.40 mark and has fallen to $1.25, making its price recovery a key focus moving forward.
