U.S. Interest Rate and PCE Price Index Announcement on October 29
On the 29th (Korean time), the U.S. interest rate and the Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) price index will be announced. The Federal Reserve (Fed) will decide on the interest rate at 3 AM on the 29th (2 PM on the 28th Eastern Time). According to the CME FedWatch on the 27th, investors see an 89.5% chance that the Fed will keep the interest rate unchanged. Experts expect that attention will be focused on comments from Fed Chair Kevin Warsh after the rate decision. If Chair Warsh supports the rate freeze and mentions the possibility of slowing the pace of future rate hikes, the prices of risk assets such as BTC may rise. Additionally, on the 29th, the PCE price index, which reflects prices more broadly than the Consumer Price Index (CPI), will also be released. This PCE price index will reflect the figures from September, before the rise in oil prices, and if it exceeds expectations, macroeconomic uncertainty may increase. The key schedule is as follows: October 27th - Conference Board (CB) October Consumer Confidence Index announcement, October 29th - Fed interest rate decision and U.S. September PCE price index announcement.
