Pakistan Communicates Red Line to Iran, Attacks on Saudi Arabia Seen as Attack on Pakistan

Pakistan has clearly communicated to Iran that any attack on Saudi Arabia will be regarded as an attack on Pakistan, marking an inviolable red line. The Pakistani government and military have conveyed this position to the highest levels in Iran. According to a joint strategic defense agreement signed between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia in 2025, any attack on either party will be considered aggression against both. Sources reveal that Iran has informed the Houthis that if the U.S. attacks Iranian power facilities, the Houthis will consider blocking the Bab-el-Mandeb Strait. Currently, the Houthis have deployed missiles and drones near the Bab-el-Mandeb Strait. Analysts believe that if both the Strait of Hormuz and the Bab-el-Mandeb Strait, two major energy transport routes, are simultaneously obstructed, the global energy supply chain and international shipping will face further disruptions. Pakistan has expressed hope that all parties will exercise restraint and alleviate regional tensions through diplomatic means.
