Consumers Reimbursed 32.5 Million UAH for Poor Quality Goods and Services

In the first half of 2026, the State Consumer Service satisfied over 6,501 citizen complaints, returning 32.5 million UAH to them. The main complaints were related to the non-fulfillment of contract terms and online purchases. During the specified period, 12,072 proposals, applications, and complaints were received, of which 5,223 concerned the provision of services, 3,216 related to the purchase of goods, and 3,633 were about online purchases. Specialists reviewed over 11,000 appeals. Violations by businesses were identified: 107 cases of breach of contract terms, 23 cases of non-compliance with orders, 15 cases of creating obstacles during inspections, and 6 cases of lack of necessary information about products. A total of 111 orders to cease violations were issued, and 91 individuals were held administratively liable for nearly 19,700 UAH. Additionally, 106 business entities were held accountable under Article 23 of the Law of Ukraine 'On Consumer Rights Protection' with total sanctions amounting to approximately 12,000,000 UAH.
